Lucy Evelyn Postcard

from 20.00

This transfer is of a postcard of Lucy Evelyn on Long Beach Island, New Jersey. The Lucy Evelyn became a Beach Haven icon when it was purchased by the township in 1948. The schooner was moved to dry land and converted into a novelty shop called the Sea Chest. Some might remember paying just 25 cents to go on the upper deck! Unfortunately, the Lucy Evelyn burned down in February of 1972. The photo is courtesy of the New Jersey Maritime Museum.

Sign Details

  • Hand crafted from solid pine wood.
  • Sealed with a clear protective coat insuring your sign will last for years to come.  However, I do not recommend hanging outside.
  • Sawtooth hanger attached on back.
  • One of a kind! Each sign has its own unique grain pattern showing through the image. Also the unique nature of the transfer process allows for each sign to be distressed differently.

** Since every sign is handmade - sizes may vary by a quarter inch **

Customized writing and sizing are always available, contact me if interested!
